I had to make my own futon, which is just rude. No one warned me about that, and the check-in staff, well, let's just say their smiles were not genuine. The outdoor onsen is nice, but I expected a complimentary gesture for the inconvenience. almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

The public bathing area was quite enjoyable and relaxing.
The lack of complimentary amenities was frustrating, especially since we had to pay extra for basic items like toothbrushes. Additionally, we found the cleanliness lacking in terms of dust accumulation in various spots, which made our stay uncomfortable for someone sensitive to dust. Finally, the air conditioning in our room was inadequate and could not be adjusted, limiting our comfort during warmer weather.

The kaiseki dinner was scrumptious and a true highlight! The private onsen in our suite provided a relaxing escape after a day of exploring local gems like Sushi no Suzumaru and Teuchian Matsubara, just a stone's throw away. Plus, the cozy and spacious room made our stay extra enjoyable!
The walk from the Ito train station felt a bit long without a sidewalk—definitely not ideal with luggage. Making my own futon is a quirky twist I wasn’t expecting. The building could use a little sprucing up, and check-in staff were less than cheery, which isn't typical for Japan.

The private onsen bath was AMAZING! The room was spacious and cozy with a tatami area, but the tea table layout made it tricky to lounge around. Overall, a good stay! 😊

The room was spacious with a separate tatami area and a fantastic private hot spring bath. The staff welcomed us with tea and a Japanese jelly treat, which was a lovely touch. We enjoyed walking to nearby restaurants and could easily explore the Izu Peninsula from here. Dinner was a delicious multi-course meal after a day of sightseeing. 😍

The Japanese Standard Room I stayed in was quite comfortable, featuring a private hot tub that was a significant advantage. The public areas were well-maintained, including an exceptional reflexology pool by the lobby. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the beach and a notable local brewery, making for a fantastic experience.
The walk from the station can be challenging due to limited footpaths.
